I work at Hallmark Cards, Inc. as a Senior Writer. On any given day, you might find me writing cards, books, songs (original and parody), jokes, tweets, blog posts, articles, character profiles, scripts, packaging copy, and all kinds of other fun stuff. I also work as a books editor, develop creative strategy, facilitate brainstorms, and work on a wide variety of innovation projects.
I spent my college days at Kansas State University. In 2010, I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor's Degree in English (Creative Writing focus) and a minor in Mass Communications. During my time at K-State, I edited the first full online edition of our journalism school's magazine, had work published in our college's literary journal, and sang on a European choir tour. And I still bleed purple to this day. (My doctor says it's nothing to worry about.)
When I'm not writing, I like to spend time with my wife, our son, and our aggressively loving golden retriever. I love music, sports, and peanut butter, and if anyone ever finds a way to combine the three, they would be my personal hero.
Poke around this site to see more of my writing. If you have any questions, get in touch. I'm really good at answering questions that I know the answers to. And to learn more about my work history, check out my LinkedIn page here.
